Makai Golf Club at Princeville

RTJ Masterpiece

For the last few years our family spends a week at the St Regis Princeville resort and I get to play Makai a few times while the family hits the pool. What an amazing course. The holes on the ocean are first rate. If you bring a camera you better bring two memory cards because you can snap that many photos.

I love hole 3, the par 3 that drops 100 feet to a narrow green. Every hole on the front 9 features a view of the ocean. The back nine plays more inland but returns back to the ocean for 3 awesome holes.

Robert Trent Jones redesigned the golf course a few years back and the changes are great. New greens are the most significant change and make this one of the top tracks in Hawaii.

We will be back next year!
